Egan-Jones Ratings Co. announced Wednesday that its new senior director of ratings is a former branch chief in the SEC's Office of Credit Ratings. The hire comes several weeks after the SEC decided against giving the firm nationally recognized statistical rating organization status for bond and asset-backed securities ratings.
