Send FundOpsHQ your news

For firms and their communications teams: closed a fund, launched one, done a deal or made a hire? Send it to the news desk. Here is what we cover, what we do with it, and what we need from you.

Send your news

Who we cover

GPs, LPs and fund service providers in private markets, with North America first: private equity, venture, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, secondaries and hedge funds. Fund closes and launches, deals, senior hires and promotions, LP commitments, and news from the firms that serve funds.

What we publish

Facts, in our own words: who, what, how much and when. A short story on the site, a line in FundOps Daily, the morning email, and a place in the league tables when it is a sized fund close. We may edit for length and style. We don’t run rumours, opinion pieces as news, or news about another firm.

How fast

Usually within a day or two of your confirming the submission, once we have verified it. It then runs on the site and in the next morning’s FundOps Daily.

Embargoes

We honour them. Put the date and time the embargo lifts, with the time zone, at the start of what happened (for example “Embargoed until 9:00 a.m. ET, November 4”) and set the news date to that day. We verify ahead of time and publish nothing before it lifts.

What we need

The release or announcement (a link to it, if it is public), the firm’s website, the figures and the date, and the name and work email of someone who can confirm it: a press contact, IR or the deal team. Free email addresses are not accepted.

Every submission is verified

You confirm your work email first. Then we check the news with the firm, or against its own announcement, before anything runs. Nothing you send is published as it stands.

No paid placement

Coverage is free and is never sold, traded for a sponsorship or ranked by who pays. Sponsors are labelled as sponsors, and sending news does not guarantee a story.
