Akara Partners and Deven Group close financing on 305-bed student housing development at San Diego State University

Akara Partners and Development Ventures Group (Deven Group) have closed construction financing and equity for 5077 College Ave., a student housing project next to San Diego State University. The two firms are co-general partners and co-developers in the joint venture.
The eight-story building, on College Avenue and Montezuma Road, will have 110 units and 305 beds across about 98,500 square feet. Construction starts immediately, with delivery aimed at the 2028-29 academic year. Amenities will include a pool deck, rooftop lounge, fitness space and co-working areas, mostly in private bedrooms.
