Chinese quant hedge fund Lingjun attracts $300m in overseas capital
Thursday, October 22, 2026 · first reported by Hedgeweek
Lingjun Investment, a Beijing-based quant hedge fund, has raised over $300m from overseas investors as it resumes fundraising after a two-year halt that followed regulatory sanctions, Hedgeweek reports, citing Reuters. Backers of its offshore arm, Lingjun Capital, include one US institution and a number of Southeast Asian clients. A further $150m is under discussion with a Southeast Asian sovereign wealth fund, and the firm is also approaching Middle East investors.
Founder Cai Meijie said the break gave the firm time to rework its risk and governance setup. The risk team was doubled and a five-member investment committee was created.
