R100m to R500m per deal: the businesses this SA fund wants
Sunday, October 18, 2026 · first reported by Townpress Newspaper
Infinite Partners closed Core Equity Fund II on 6 October with R2.8 billion, which is R300 million, or 12%, more than the R2.5 billion it was aiming for. TechCabal and Brand Spur give the amount as $169.3 million.
Every rand came from domestic institutions: banks, insurers, asset managers and pension schemes. Individual investments run from R100 million to R500 million, in the form of growth or replacement capital for established mid-market businesses. Two holdings are in place so far, enterprise software company e4 and digital infrastructure owner CYNK, and the firm expects to add more over the next few months.
