Listed A to Z. Nobody pays to be listed or to change their place. This list is not everything: what we list and what we leave out.

What it does

These tools read data rooms, filings, expert calls and market data, answer questions about them, and draft material such as screening notes and investment memos. Some are built only for investment firms, and some serve financial firms more broadly.

How it differs

A general AI assistant does not know a firm’s files or a deal team’s format. These products connect to data rooms and data providers, show where an answer came from, and are set up around investment work. They do not replace the data providers themselves.

What to ask a vendor

  • Does each answer link to the passage it came from?
  • Is your data used to train any model, and where is it held?
  • Which data rooms, data providers and CRMs does it connect to today?
  • How is access controlled across deal teams and across walled-off funds?
  • Who at your firm reviews the output, and what does the vendor suggest?

Pricing

Few vendors publish a price. Where one does, it is on that vendor’s page here. Ask what usage limits apply and what counts toward them.
