Listed A to Z. Nobody pays to be listed or to change their place. This list is not everything: what we list and what we leave out.
What it does
A CRM for an investment firm records people, companies, deals and fundraising conversations in one place. Some of these products read email and calendars so the team does not log each contact by hand.
How it differs
A general sales CRM is built around selling a product through a funnel. These are built around relationships that last years, a firm’s own network, and deal or fundraising stages. Some sit on top of Salesforce, and some are their own systems.
What to ask a vendor
- Does it capture email and calendar activity automatically, and who at the firm can see it?
- Does it cover both deals and investors, or one of them?
- Is it built on another platform that you would also need to license?
- What does moving your existing records in involve, and who does that work?
- Can your data be exported in full if you leave?
Pricing
Few vendors publish a price. Where one does, it is on that vendor’s page here. Ask for the full first-year cost in writing.
