HCAP’s Real Diagnostics Acquires Saliva Test Maker SimplyTest

Real Diagnostics, which is owned by HCAP Partners, has bought SimplyTest, a company that makes saliva-based oral health tests. No terms were disclosed.
The purchase moves Real Diagnostics, a CLIA-certified laboratory based in Reisterstown, Md., into oral health testing and opens dental practices to it as customers. SimplyTest's PERIO test, which detects pathogens linked to gum disease from a swish-and-spit sample, and its support for providers will carry on without interruption.
