Iwoca expands German financing line
Monday, October 19, 2026 · first reported by Alternative Credit Investor
Digital lender iwoca has added a €185m (£156m) credit line to fund its German business. ABN Amro is senior lender, and Neuberger provides the mezzanine tranche, which lifts the facility's overall capacity.
The refinancing takes iwoca's total commitment in Germany above €560m, as demand for SME loans grows. Fabian Platzen, general manager of iwoca Germany, said the German loan book more than doubled over the past 12 months. The company has nearly 13,000 active loan customers there and aims to reach a €1bn German loan book and 30,000 to 35,000 active SME customers by 2028.
