Contrada launches U.S. housing special situations investment manager
Friday, October 30, 2026 · first reported by IREI
Real estate investors Vincent DiSalvo and Michael Gallagher have started Contrada, an investment manager that focuses on special situations in U.S. housing. A multigenerational New York development firm has made a strategic anchor investment in the new business.
Contrada's flagship vehicle, the U. Housing Dislocation Fund, is aimed at distressed properties, performing and nonperforming loans, and recapitalizations. The strategy targets stress from loans written when rates were lower now maturing into a higher-rate market, alongside rising operating costs and slowing rent growth.
