Monday, October 26, 2026 · first reported by HedgeCo
Man Group said on Monday that Meiji Yasuda intends to put up to ¥200 billion, about $1.25 billion, into Man strategies across the next three years, concentrating on private credit. The two firms first disclosed their partnership in February 2025.
Meiji Yasuda will also weigh purchasing about 5% of Man on the open market, and Man will issue no new shares. Shares bought would face a three-year lock-up and a 19.99% ceiling on the insurer's holding. The pair will jointly develop products for Japan, and Man becomes a preferred asset management partner.
