Aspirity Partners has put $135m into Hoxton Wealth, an expatriate wealth manager, in its first external funding round. Bloomberg is cited as the source. The money is meant to fund international expansion, hiring and acquisitions, aimed at mobile high-net-worth clients, notably British expatriates moving to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Hoxton, set up in 2018 and based in London and Dubai, works in 10 jurisdictions with about 10,000 clients and over $5bn in assets. Co-founder Chris Ball is expected to keep a majority stake. Aspirity closed its first fund at more than €875m last year.
