ICG pushes into Iberia with MD hire
Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · first reported by Alternative Credit Investor
ICG has named Ramon Arocena a managing director and given him the job of building its Iberian presence, in support of its European mid-market strategy. Based in Madrid, he will handle deal sourcing and execution in the region for the mid-market funds and will report to Gareth Knight, who heads ICG Europe Mid-Market.
Arocena arrives from Advent International, where he held a managing director role. Earlier he was a partner with Peninsula Capital, which invests in mid-sized companies across southern Europe. ICG called Iberia a natural extension of the strategy.
