Jonathan Rose Cos. to launch U.K. affordable housing platform and fund
Monday, November 2, 2026 · first reported by IREI
Jonathan Rose Cos. intends to build an affordable housing investment platform in the United Kingdom and to open a dedicated vehicle, the Rose UK Social and Affordable Housing Fund. The move is the firm's first international market expansion. It was disclosed in New York City at an event run by the U.K. government to draw capital and partners into housing delivery.
Initially, the firm will finance new affordable homes arising from Section 106 agreements in Bristol, London and Manchester, and from Section 75 agreements in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Such schemes usually sit within mixed-income communities and are designed to run without fossil fuels.
