Avolon, I Squared Capital and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority Launch Constellation Aviation, a New Aircraft Leasing and Infrastructure Investment Platform
Monday, November 2, 2026 · first reported by Yahoo Finance
Avolon has agreed to form Constellation Aviation, an aircraft leasing and infrastructure investment platform, together with I Squared Capital and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
Once the deal completes, the new venture is expected to purchase 22 aircraft from Avolon, valued at $1.4 billion at today's market prices. The planes average roughly five years in age and are leased to 17 airlines across 15 countries. Avolon will keep a minority equity interest and act as exclusive manager and servicer of the fleet. Closing is subject to regulatory approvals, and a syndicated bank debt facility will back the venture.
