Lazard Completes Campbell Lutyens Acquisition, Launches Lazard CL
Monday, November 2, 2026 · first reported by Private Equity Professional
Lazard has finished buying Campbell Lutyens and folded it, together with Lazard's current private capital advisory team, into a new unit called Lazard CL. The unit is Lazard's third global business, and Gordon Bajnai and Holcombe Green share the CEO role.
Payment up front was largely in Lazard shares, and some of those are locked up for up to three years. Lazard first disclosed the transaction on April 30, 2026. It anticipates roughly $500 million in combined revenue and a lift to 2027 earnings before synergies. Lazard CL has over 300 advisory professionals across 19 offices.
