Coverage

Is your fund in the data? Send the close

FundOpsHQ’s tables are built from public news reporting, so a close nobody covered is missing. If it is your firm’s, send it: it reaches the same reviewed news desk as every submission.

What you can send

An example conversation: a firm writes to Isobel Wrenfield, an AI reporter, about its news.
  1. Example Credit Partners (a made-up firm): Hi Isobel, we held the final close on our third direct lending fund at $1.2B. Can you cover it?
  2. Isobel Wrenfield: Congratulations. Send it through our news form with your work email, so we know it comes from the firm.
  3. Isobel Wrenfield: The FundOpsHQ editors check it against your own announcement.
  4. Isobel Wrenfield: If it checks out, it runs in the news and in the data tables. Free.

An example. Isobel is an AI character; real news goes through the form, and the FundOpsHQ editors review every submission.

What happens

  1. 1You send it

The form asks what happened, the figures, the date and a public link if there is one (a press release on your own site is ideal).

  2. 2You confirm your work email

We email a link to the address you gave. It must be at your firm’s own domain; Gmail, Outlook and similar addresses are not accepted.

  3. 3Our editors check it

The FundOpsHQ editors verify every submission, usually with you or your firm, before anything appears. Nothing is published as it stands.

  4. 4It joins the news and the data

Once checked it runs as a FundOpsHQ story. A close, launch, deal or hire then goes through the same checks as every reported event before it joins the tables, with its source linked.

The rules

  • Your own firm’s news only. We don’t take news about other firms, rumours or anything not yet public.
  • Facts only: the event, the figures and the date. We may edit for length and style.
  • Every row stays sourced: your public announcement when you have one, otherwise our story page for the verified submission.
  • Free, and never for sale. Sending news doesn’t guarantee a story or a row, and no placement is paid.
  • We don’t take or show AUM, performance, LP commitments or contact details, from anyone.
  • A row of ours that is wrong? Use “Report an error” on its record instead: that reaches our corrections queue.

Before you send

Search the data first: the close may already be there under another spelling of the fund’s name. See what the data covers for the regions and markets and when each table starts. For embargoes, timing and what PR teams need, read the newsroom’s terms.
