Pear VC Closed Its Fifth Fund at $333 Million and Promoted Three Partners
Friday, October 16, 2026 · first reported by HedgeCo Insights
Pear VC announced a $333 million Pear Fund V, lifting its assets under management past $1.1 billion. Pear Fund IV, raised in 2023, had closed at $432 million, so the new vehicle is the smaller of the two. The firm says its focus stays on founders at pre-seed and seed.
Alongside the close, Arash Afrakhteh, Ajay Kamat and Shravan Reddy were promoted to general partner. Afrakhteh invests in enterprise and B2B, Kamat in consumer, fintech and healthcare, and Reddy in AI infrastructure, robotics and vertical AI. Co-founders Mar Hershenson and Pejman Nozad presented Fund V as a continuation of Pear's early-stage model.
