Conversant Capital closes inaugural opportunistic fund on $845m

Conversant Capital has closed its first private investment fund, but outlets disagree on the size. AltAssets reports $705m, which it says is more than 40% above a $500m target. Law360, IREI, PEI and IPE Real Assets give $845m. The fund is described as an opportunistic real estate vehicle. Law360 says Fried Frank Shriver Harris & Jacobson advised Conversant. AltAssets describes Conversant as a six-year-old real estate investment firm and says its assets under management have grown to $3.2bn.
