Polaris to launch $630m private credit fund, one of Japan's largest
Tuesday, October 20, 2026 · first reported by Nikkei Asia
Polaris Capital Group, a Japanese investment fund firm, plans to launch a private credit fund as early as the end of fiscal 2026, Nikkei Asia reports. The fund would seek about 100 billion yen ($630 million) from institutional investors, among them life insurers and pension funds. It would rank among the largest private credit funds in Japan. Nikkei Asia links the move to growing demand from companies for nonbank lending as banks approach their lending capacity.
