Wednesday, October 14, 2026 · first reported by HedgeCo Insights
LSEG has confirmed discussions with Permira on buying Octus, which supplies credit intelligence, data and workflow products. A deal would put Octus's value at about $3.5 billion. The confirmation came in a Regulatory News Service statement issued in response to press speculation. LSEG cautioned that an agreement is not assured and that regulatory approvals would be needed. It sees Octus as a fit alongside its fixed income data and analytics operations, and said that a completed purchase would add to earnings right away.
