Bridgepoint’s ECP to sell Harvestone to Andersons for $915m
Wednesday, November 4, 2026 · first reported by Private Equity Wire and 1 other
Andersons has agreed to buy Harvestone Low Carbon Partners, a US low-carbon ethanol producer, from Energy Capital Partners (ECP) for $915m. ECP is the infrastructure investment platform owned by Bridgepoint Group. Private Equity Wire cites The Wall Street Journal for the deal.
Harvestone runs three ethanol plants in North Dakota and Indiana, with about 215 million gallons of annual capacity. That lifts Andersons' renewable fuels platform by more than 40% and brings combined capacity to roughly 730 million gallons a year. Andersons will fund the purchase with $300m drawn on its existing revolving credit facility and about $615m of new long-term debt. Closing is expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
