Harbert Management Corp. acquires 65% interest in Tenaska Georgia
Friday, November 6, 2026 · first reported by IREI
Gulf Pacific Power, an affiliate of Harbert Management Corp. (HMC), has bought a 65 percent indirect equity stake in Tenaska Georgia Partners (TGP) from Global Infrastructure Partners, part of BlackRock. TGP owns the Tenaska Georgia Generating Station in Franklin, Ga., a 945-megawatt dual-fuel, simple-cycle gas peaking plant. A subsidiary of Constellation Energy Corp. buys the plant's output under a long-term tolling agreement.
Tenaska, which developed the plant and has run it since commercial operation began in 2001, was not a party to the deal and keeps its interest in TGP.
