Israel’s Clalit, Schneider children’s hospital launch $50M venture fund for pediatric health
Friday, November 6, 2026 · first reported by eJewishPhilanthropy
Clalit Health Services and its Schneider Children's Medical Center have launched Schneider Children's Venture Capital (SCVC), a for-profit pediatric health fund with a $50 million size. Private and institutional backers have so far put in $20 million, and managing partner Ronen Gadot told eJewishPhilanthropy the rest is still to be raised. A third of the interest earned goes to Clalit and Schneider for research, and donor-advised funds can be used to invest.
SCVC has screened over 170 companies and made three investments, among them Cellergy Therapeutics and Noumena AI. Startups can trial products in Schneider's clinics, and portfolio companies get access to Clalit's medical database.
