L Squared Capital Partners has bought Edko from Incline Equity Partners, in what the headline describes as the opening deal of its Fund V. Edko sprays herbicides to control vegetation near power lines, pipelines and other energy infrastructure. It serves more than 85 utilities and manages over 70,000 miles of utility right-of-way a year.
Incline bought the Louisiana-based company in June 2021, when it had 14 branches in 25 states. It now has 36 branches serving 30 states. Under Incline it made three acquisitions and launched five adjacent services. Jason Sellers is CEO.
